Come si scrive la solidarietà? Tutte e tutti insieme per Nawal.

Writing Solidarity - scrittori e scrittrici in campo è un grande evento charity che si svolgerà a Roma sabato 2 e domenica 3 settembre, promosso da Come si scrive una grande storia, la scuola solidale di scrittura e sceneggiatura fondata da Francesco Trento.

Sul palco del Teatro Garbatella, scrittori e scrittrici di vari paesi europei doneranno lezioni di scrittura e sceneggiatura, a cui sarà possibile partecipare sostenendo l'attivista italo-marocchina Nawal Soufi al fianco dei rifugiati, dei profughi e richiedenti asilo nel Mediterraneo e lungo le frontiere in tutta Europa.

La sera, dopo le lezioni, sarà possibile assistere alla Writers' League, il mondiale di calcio degli scrittori e delle scrittrici, che vedrà scendere in campo Inghilterra, Svezia, Germania e Italia.

Grazie alle donazioni dirette che ci ripromettiamo di generare con Writing Solidarity - scrittrici e scrittori in campo, interamente destinate al lavoro di Nawal e dei suoi collaboratori, oltre 100 famiglie potranno ricevere cure e assistenza.

WRITING SOLIDARITY: all together for Nawal Soufi

Writing Solidarity - Writers take the field is a big charity event that will take place in Rome in september, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3d. The event is promoted by Come si scrive una grande storia, the writing and screenwriting solidarity school founded by Francesco Trento.

On the stage of Teatro Garbatella, writers from all over the Wordl will deliver masterclasses on creative writing, screenwriting, creativity. Everyone can attend the lessons with a donation to Nawal Soufi, the Moroccan-Italian activist who devotes her efforts to address the plight of internationally displaced persons, refugees and asylum seekers.

In the evening, after the writing talks, attendees can move to the football pitch Tre Fontane and follow the Writers' League, the football World Cup for writers. Italy, Germany, England and Sweden will compete for the cup!

Thanks to the direct donations generated by Writing Solidarity - Writers take the field Nawal Soufi and her collaborators will be able to help refugees in Athens. The donations will support entire families, ensuring them basic necessities as well as legal and sanitary assistance.

Come si scrive una grande storia è la Scuola di scrittura SOLIDALE fondata da Francesco Trento, che propone lezioni gratuite, lezioni sospese, lezioni in cambio di volontariato a chi non può pagare i corsi di scrittura e sceneggiatura.

Come si scrive una grande storia ha sostenuto più volte l’enorme lavoro di Nawal, ma ora con questo evento si propone di fare di più: vogliamo aiutare bambini, donne e uomini rifugiati ad Atene che hanno bisogno di cibo, medicinali, coperte, vestiti, assistenza legale e sanitaria.

WHO ARE WE?

Come si scrive una grande storia (How to write a great story)  is the solidarity writing school founded by Italian writer and screenwriter Francesco Trento. does it mean? We offer free lessons and writing classes in exchange for charity work, to those who can not afford to pay for our seminars

The school has already been protagonist of campaigns combining literature and social issues. Thanks to such events, the school has been able to generate over €120,000 in donations to support non-profit organizations and contribute to social causes, promoting solidarity through writing and screenwriting.

Come si scrive una grande storia  has already supported Nawal’s huge efforts several times before. With Writing Solidarity the school sets out to do more: we will help a hundred families in Athens who need food, medicines, blankets, clothes, legal and sanitary assistance.

CHI È NAWAL SOUFI?

Nel 2016 Nawal Soufi ha ricevuto il “Premio cittadino europeo” dal Parlamento europeo, per il suo impegno verso i migranti lungo le frontiere d’Europa. Oggi è diventata un punto di riferimento per migliaia di migranti che la chiamano al telefono cellulare dai barconi in difficoltà nel Mediterraneo, lanciandole il proprio SOS: lei raccoglie le loro coordinate e le comunica alla Guardia Costiera. Il suo numero di telefono passa di mano in mano tra i profughi che tentano di raggiungere l’Europa.

ABOUT NAWAL SOUFI

Nawal Soufi is an independent Moroccan-Italian activist who devotes her life to refugees, internationally displaced persons and asylum seekers on the Balkan Route and all along European borders. Known as “the angel of refugees" she has saved thousands of persons, taking calls from boats in distress and relaying their location to rescue agencies. In 2016, she was awarded the European's Citizen Price by the European Parliament for her efforts in aiding the rescue of migrants crossing the Mediterranean.
